My name is Lenae and I am Licensed Mental Health Counselor located in Albuquerque. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Special Education with a minor in Psychology from New Mexico Highlands University in 2015. I completed my Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with Grand Canyon University in 2025. About 14 years ago I started my career by working with individuals and families impacted by disability. I have experience in both secular and nonsecular settings, including education. Working with adolescents and teens in particular has brought me great joy.
Growing up in New Mexico and having the opportunity to move around has given me a great appreciation for cultural diversity and I am committed to supporting individuals from all walks of life in my practice. I believe in the inherent strength of the human spirit and aim to help clients live authentic, purpose-filled lives. Although I am no stranger to pain and loss, I believe that it is possible to find healing and meaning through life’s greatest challenges. I welcome humor in my practice and aim to help first time and returning clients feel comfortable in their therapy experience. My approach to therapy is led largely by existential therapy, however my practice is integrative and includes CBT, DBT, EFT, and somatic interventions. It is important to me that client care is trauma-informed and our work is tailored to support the unique goals of the client. I consider myself a lifetime learner and look forward to providing additional therapies in the future.
