My name is Patricia Berry, I am licensed as a Mental Health Counselor with the State of New Mexico. I graduated from New Mexico Highlands University with my Master of Arts degree in Guidance and Counseling with an emphasis in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I also have my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. I am endorsed through the New Mexico Association for Infant Mental Health as an Infant Family Associate to provide Infant Mental Health services.
I have experience providing individual, couples, family, and group counseling to adults, children, and adolescents. I have worked with a diverse population of individuals and families from many different backgrounds throughout my career. I have gained experience in treating various mental health issues, which include anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, personal growth and motivation, relationship issues, life transitions, crisis intervention, and many more. I have also worked with children and adults with Autism and ADHD/ADD and have also had many opportunities to learn about individuals with these disorders.
I focus on creating a safe space for my clients where they can feel accepted, supported, and empowered to focus on their individualized needs. I believe in meeting my clients where they are and therefore utilize a variety of techniques throughout the therapeutic process to provide personalized treatment that is unique to each individual client. I believe that we all have Hope Within, but sometimes it takes the proper guidance to discover it.
